Who we are
Scent Wash ("we", "us"), based in Florida, United States, operates scentwash.com and our Shop app storefront (the "Services"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Our Terms of Service, including the Florida arbitration agreement in them, also apply to any dispute about this policy.
What we collect
Order information: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, payment details (processed by Shopify Payments, Shop Pay or the provider you choose; we never see or store full card numbers) and the products you buy.
Account and subscription information: login details, saved addresses, subscription preferences, delivery history and any messages you send us.
Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device identifiers, pages viewed and how you interact with the Services, collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
Marketing information: your email or phone number when you sign up for our newsletter or text updates, your fragrance quiz answers if you share them, and your interactions with our emails and ads.
How we use it
To fulfil and ship orders, manage subscriptions and renewals, provide customer care and honour our guarantee; to prevent fraud and secure the Services; to understand how the Services are used and improve them and our products; to personalise the Services and our advertising; and, with your consent, to send marketing emails or texts that you can opt out of at any time.
How we share it
We share personal information with service providers that help us run the store: Shopify (platform, checkout, payments and the Shop app), shipping carriers and fulfilment partners, email and SMS providers, review and analytics tools, and advertising partners such as Meta, Google and TikTok that may use cookies or pixels to measure and personalise ads. Some of this sharing for targeted advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws; you can opt out as described under Your rights. We may also disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, protect our rights or in connection with a business transfer.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the store and optional analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage optional cookies through the privacy choices link in our footer and your browser settings. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
Text messages
If you opt in to texts, we send order updates and, with your consent, marketing messages. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to receive a copy of it, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your information, and to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email support@scentwash.com or use the privacy choices link in our footer; we may need to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by law (normally 45 days). California residents may exercise their rights under the CCPA through the same channels.
Retention
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes, and delete or anonymise other data when it is no longer needed for the purposes above.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, and rely on Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout for payments. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
The Services are not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will post updates here and change the date above. Material changes will be notified by email or a notice on the site where the law requires it.
